A Thriving and Prosperous Lincoln City
Explore Lincoln City is the tourism department of the City of Lincoln City and the official Destination Management Organization (DMO) for the Lincoln City area, serving as a resource for Lincoln City’s tourism industry and promoting economic development through tourism marketing, destination management and stewardship initiatives. Explore Lincoln City is funded by transient lodging tax paid by visitors for overnight stays. Explore Lincoln City Awards $57,865 in Grants to Fund Community Partnership Projects
Explore Lincoln City is delighted to announce that $57,865 was awarded to seven Community Partnership Fund recipients during the 2025 - 2026 fiscal year, with several pending applications. This grant cycle prioritized applicants with tourism-facing projects that emphasized stewardship, accessibility and inclusion.
Since 2009, Explore Lincoln City has delivered $1,427,865 in grants and community partnership funding to support hundreds of meaningful projects and events in Lincoln City. These funds reinvest transient lodging taxes (TLT) collected from visitors into the community, and leverage economic development through tourism attraction development and community stewardship.

- The Explore Lincoln City industry newsletter is distributed six times a year and provides updates about local and regional tourism initiatives, upcoming events and networking opportunities, profiles of local tourism businesses and organizations, and prospective partnerships to strengthen our communities. - Read the June 2026 edition of the industry newsletter. Lincoln City is preparing for a busy summer with several updates for tourism partners. Celebrating the 4th of July with a new event, Stars, Stripes and Wildlife, the Taft District will play host to live music, food vendors, family activities, and wildlife education. To protect sensitive habitats within the Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge, fireworks have been relocated to Devils Lake, and personal fireworks remain prohibited citywide. Construction of the new Lincoln City Welcome Center at D River Wayside is underway. This new facility will feature visitor services, improved accessibility, upgraded beach access, and enhanced public restrooms. Visitors should expect temporary impacts during construction. The Lincoln City Summer Kite Festival will be held at Chinook Winds Casino Resort on June 27–28, with the Fall Kite Festival returning September 25–27, including the return of the Night Fly on the night of Friday, September 25. Artists have until June 30 to submit proposals for a public art installation at the Welcome Center plaza. Partners are also encouraged to take advantage of Explore Lincoln City's Industry Resources, including tourism data, grant opportunities, and event promotion tools.
