Cascade Head Biosphere Explorience

The Cascade Head Biosphere Region is a diverse ecosystem that is filled with hundreds of extraordinary species and natural wonders. Join us in this "learning place for sustainable development" right here in Lincoln City's backyard.

Join the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative for a 90-minute walking tour guiding visitors through Oregon's only UNESCO Biosphere Region, providing a 10,000 year snap-shot of the natural history of this remarkable place where land meets the sea. Led by a trained naturalist, visitors will learn about the unique flora, fauna and geology of the Biosphere Region, the revolutionary conservation efforts on the Salmon River, and the history of the Nechesne peoples, the first inhabitants of the land.

Cascade Head Biosphere Exploriences will meet in Knight Park at 10:30 AM. This program is free and registration is not required.

The presence or scent of dogs in a habitat such as the Cascade Head Biosphere Region, may force wild animals to leave their homes, both temporarily and permanently.
