Making Waves for Marine Life in Lincoln City

Lincoln City's Biosphere Beach Ambassador program, launched in 2025 by the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative in collaboration with Explore Lincoln City—aims to educate visitors about the local marine environment and promote conservation efforts. The program features Josh Havelind, who serves as the Beach Ambassador stationed at the NW 15th Street Beach Access during low tide periods. Josh engages with beachgoers, offering insights into the diverse marine life found in the tide pools and discussing the significance of the Cascade Head Marine Region and Marine Protected Areas. His presence provides an opportunity for visitors to learn about the coastal ecosystem and ways to protect it.
