Special Float Drop Days

You'll find our Float Fairies in a generous mood from time to time. Throughout the year extra glass floats are placed on Lincoln City beaches to find and keep.

Hunting for a glass float? Increase your chances during our Special Drops! Search our beaches on holidays and special occasions. There are hundreds of extra treasures to find in addition to our regular drops all year round.

January 9-11, 2026: Opening Weekend: 100 floats**
February 6-16, 2026: Retro Expo: 100 Japanese antique-style floats
April 22-25, 2026: Earth Day: 50 Earth Day floats
June 19-20, 2026: Casino Anniversary: 31 floats
September TBD: Fall Kite: 10 floats
Oct 30-Nov 1, 2026: Halloween: 50 floats**

Are there fewer Special Drops in 2026?

Yes. Following the special celebrations surrounding the 25th anniversary of Finders Keepers in 2025, we are returning to Finders Keepers roots. The heart of the program is centered around magic and surprise, when every day has the possibility of being a special day.

Will there be fewer glass floats in 2026?

No. We are still placing over 3,000 floats on the beach throughout 2026.
